1474045 2020-12-25 23:27:00 I received a 3 CD set of The Very Best of the Shadows from Santa and after listening to it this morning I would recommend it to any fan of The Shadows.

It has tracks (62) that all fans will know: Apache, Wonderful Land, Kon-Tiki, F.B.I., Man of Mystery, Guitar Tango, The Savage, Dance On, The Frightened City and many more.

SWMBO bought it from Marbecks, but I suppose any music shop will sell it.

Well worth it. A great Chrissie pressie.:clap

1474051 2020-12-28 00:24:00 I love the Shadows and remember when Apache first came out. Early 1960s most dance bands in NZ were copying them. Hank Marvin solo also has some great tracks. The rhythm guitar (Bruce Welch) playing was great linkage with Hank. Their reunion concerts are still popular. Neil F (14248)
