1473903 2020-12-22 03:56:00 Seeing nobody has mentioned it, yesterday was the Summer Solstice, and therefore the longest day of the year.

I do hope the Global Warming Alarmists have survived the temperatures so far, as we head back to winter. :D

1473904 2020-12-22 04:00:00 I noticed a chill in the air this morning. Winter is on its way.

I think he may have been caught out because this is a leap year. ;)

Anyway, who cares about a second in time or a degree in temperature? :)

1473907 2020-12-22 08:03:00 Here's something coming in the Northern Hemisphere which could be interesting to say the least:

That is just another click bait, could be, might happen, oh woe is me we are all doomed story like so many others nowdays. Mostly all guess work with enough scientific jargon to dress it up for the uninformed.

1473910 2020-12-22 21:05:00 Supposedly the solstice is why XMAS is at this time , now changed a bit due to calendar variations over the centuries

XMAS was decided to be on the solstice , as a nod to the sun worshipers . Its what happens when politicians (ancient roman ) get involved in religion
Thats the reason theres a halo in paintings of Jesus , another nod to sun worshipers (the suns halo)
there are other theories of course :-)

The problem with that theory is it's the Winter Solstice in the Northern Hemisphere when it's the Summer Solstice in the Southern Hemisphere.
