1473770 2020-12-19 20:14:00 Have you noticed that if anyone tells a maori joke or critisises moari its racism but if a maori tells a European joke or critises Europeans that's alright. Surely that should be seen as racism as well? But it seems only the Europeans are guilty of racism remarks, not the maoris. Why is that?:illogical Roscoe (6288)
1473771 2020-12-19 20:40:00 Its very true. Sometimes its the ones calling racism, are actually the same ones who are saying the most racist things.

A couple of local facebook pages, if someone pulls the racist card (often unwarranted - just looking for the pity vote) man do they get jumped on and abused in no uncertain terms.

1473775 2020-12-21 01:31:00 The maori 'jokes' often come from a racist viewpoint . They are only told to denigrate maori .

Same with 'jew' jokes & Irish jokes . Ask the irish if they see Irish jokes as funny or just nasty rascim .
We should all know better now . Its not 1950 .

Unless you're a 12 year old & dont know any better .....

Just about any joke has another persons race, religion, sex, size, intelligence or any of many other human characteristics as the butt of the joke. Exactly the same jokes are told against one group as are told by that group against the other. Aussie versa NZ jokes for example. In fact most jokes are fairly universal and anyone older than 12 years has worked all that out for themselves particularly if they have lived in other parts of the world for a few years.
Unless someone is being deliberately cruel or nasty I see no problem in that.
