1468802 2020-05-14 04:42:00 I have been very happy with recommendations from members of the PC World forum in the past. And this is the reason I would like to ask for an other one: I have been happily using Sumatra as PDF reader. But now it doesn't cover all my needs. I have only 3 requirements: a) being able to read PDF files; b) fill in forms; c) insert notes.

Does anybody have a recommendation?

Many thanks in advance.

1468803 2020-05-14 04:57:00 Nitro reader free does all of that, Heres its interface and options:

10351

Also doesn't "Phone home" unless you tell it to.

The problem I find though is filling out forms is not accurate and can be a little frustrating getting things lined up. Had to do that Yesterday on a Bank PDF, wasn't fun :(

I don't normally use Adobe reader, BUT thought I'd give it a go, Downloaded the free version and its options for filling out forms is way better, and more accurate, BUT and its a BIG BUT, the same old reason for not using it is still there, instantly requests to "phone home all the time" (my Eset firewall is set to manual and blocks all outgoing and incoming traffic until I let it or create a rule to allow /block).

Each time it opens it tries 4-5 different times to different addresses
Example:

10352

For some reason I've bookmarked icecreamapps.com and https://www.xodo.com/ ages ago in case I'm on the lookout for a new reader. Do you know them?

I've heard and seen Icecream before but never used it, so cant really comment, may download it and see what its like If I get time today. Xodo looks like its an online program, never seen it before.
