How would you feel if the Govt just took your house & gave you 2 blankets as payment . That would be 100% Ok then Or what if the govt decided it was OK for your cousin to sell your house & your sisters house & your parents house & you all get nothing ? Or the govt decided not to allow you to build on your own land , and would not allow water or electricity to be connected to your land in an effort to force you off ? Or Govt decided that any roads built through your land : you get no compensation while whites did get compensated All the white grizzling & whining is because its Maori making these claims . thinly veiled racism :mad: Study all the history before deciding who is in the right rather than just picking a version to suit any preconceived notion. Any similar claim by a group of white grizzlers would be laughed out of court in short order. |

They buy your house when they want to put a motorway through it, or use part of the land for road extensions and such . People usually complain about the price they get . Friend of mine had to sell his for the SE motorway thing in Akld . Years later the house is still there because they changed the bend and didn't need it after all . . . . someone else owns it now . That's no different to any group of people anywhere throughout history. They still had areas they claimed, regardless of the fights and changes in size and such. |
