1473990 2020-12-24 03:25:00 Rerum novarum, or Rights and Duties of Capital and Labor, is an encyclical issued by Pope

Leo XIII on 15 May 1891. It is an open letter, passed to all Catholic patriarchs,

primates, archbishops and bishops, that addressed the condition of the working classes:

What are the 6 major elements of Rerum Novarum?

Cooperation Between the Classes. -Labor & Capital must work together (cooperate) ...
Dignity of Work. -Work should provide a decent life for workers & their families. ...
Just Wage & Workers' Associations. ...
Role of the State. ...
Private Ownership of Property. ...
Defense of the Poor

1473991 2020-12-24 18:54:00 Pope Leo XIII saw socialism as fundamentally flawed, seeking to replace Catholic moral teaching with the state. He believed that this would lead to the destruction of the family unit, where Catholic moral teachings and views of what constitutes a productive society were taught.

Although some of his other ideas were nice.
But and? No-one cares what a pope thinks, the govts are in charge, well them and big business.

1473994 2020-12-25 08:59:00 Encyclical, pastoral letter written by the pope for the whole Roman Catholic church on matters of doctrine, morals, or discipline. Although formal papal letters for the entire church were issued from the earliest days of the church, the first commonly called an encyclical was Ubi primum, dealing with episcopal duties, published by Benedict XIV in 1740. Only from the time of Pius IX (1846–78) have encyclicals been frequently used. Encyclicals are normally addressed to the bishops of the church, but a few (notably Pacem in terris by John XXIII) have been addressed also to “all men of good will.” The formal title of an encyclical consists of the first few words of the official text; the language is usually Latin, and the document is not considered to be infallible.

So it would have to filter down to the masses through the recipients of the letter who could read it, a good idea but as you say it obviously hasn't reached the intended audience or they have ignored it through willfulness or ignorance or bloodymindedness at their own peril judging from what has always been going on up until today.

1473995 2020-12-25 18:38:00 No one should listen to the Pope he peddles fakery and lies, the bible should be in the fiction section at the library. Having faith in a God should have nothing to do with religion, one is a belief in something better the other is a lie to make a few rich and powerful and to control the masses and is also the reason most wars happen.

I see nothing wrong with worshipping as many Gods as you want just as in so called Pagan times, organised religion is about being unhappy.

1473996 2020-12-25 21:52:00 Yes but most people are just reactionary and don't have any developed philosophical thought patterns so they need guidance but being mostly reactionary they won't follow any advice or wise words.

New Zealanders especially so, being fiercely iconoclastic as well. At least this means the sheep cannot easily be organized into any dangerous group (ie fascists) generally speaking.
