| 64902 | 2002-07-24 09:10:00 | I am trying to boot off a boot disk but cant get make it happen. Even though the boot sequence in the BIOS can read 'cdrom scsi A' .... it will still boot from the hard drive (it dosent matter what sequence i have ) The system breifly checks the floppy disk and then carries on booting from C:\ (even though C: isnt listed in the sequence order) ..... and yes the boot disk is OK cause I checked it on another PC. Any suggestions anyone ...??? |

| 64903 | 2002-07-24 09:15:00 | silly question but is the floppy set as A: ? does the drive work? and also you might find a setting for boot from "a ,c , cdrom ,scsi" this will force it to look at A: first. |

| 64905 | 2002-07-24 10:46:00 | I'd double check the floppy drive. Put some files on another floppy from another machine. Check your PC can read those files (hope you still got and OS in there!) | Elwin Way (229) | ||

| 64907 | 2002-07-24 11:01:00 | Try changing the boot order to: Cdrom, A: , SCSI Also, try another boot floppy. They are known to do weird things. |
