| 64508 | 2002-07-24 05:13:00 | Here's a wee trick I learned....you've probably noticed that right-clicking and deselecting the read only attributes doesn't apply the settings to any sub directories. If you have lots of directories this can be a real pain. If you right-click on the uppermost directory in the directory tree and choose "find"...then do a search for *.* it will find every file in that directory. Next hit "CTRL A" to select them all and right-click...now you can change the read-only attributes of an entire directory including any sub directories. I've noticed Windows XP doesn't automatically assign read only to any files copied from a CD. :) |
