2002-07-25 01:02:00 | IMOHO I would ditch Go!Zilla completely. It used to be good, but then a new version came out and I have had nothing but problems since. I use GetRight (with the Opera plugin) successfully.

2002-07-25 01:35:00 | I myself dont use it since i had triuble a while back, it took ages to track down all the GoZilla files. i now use oprea browser and nothing else. Dont know about the plugin, or even what it is. But when I download a screen appears asking where i want to put the file/program and then I suspect the oprea browser one showing me all the details like "the size, time its taking, a percentage bar and the like. i find thats all I need. But johnboys GoZilla files we cant even delete them manually. Need someone better qualafied than me, that knows enough to get into trouble. cheers merlin-nz ;)

2002-07-25 01:59:00 | Have you tried searchinng in the Windows Registry for Gozilla files and deleting any entries there (having backed up registry first, of course....)? If Windows no longer knows about Gozilla, it doesn't matter if you never track down the actual files..... | Biggles (121) | |

2002-07-25 12:18:00 | I had a weird download problem a while back that I eventually traced to a broken ActiveX component. Couldn't download anything (even off a CD!). Start Windows Explorer, navigate to C:\WINDOWS\Downloaded Program Files and right mouse click on each component there. Choose the Remove option. Don't worry about deleting these small programs, they will be quickly downloaded automatically as you browse to pages that require these components. This could fix the problem. Hope this helps.

2002-07-25 12:51:00 | I'm sorry I don't know anything about go!zilla. I use Download Accelerator Plus which suits me fine. Suggest you try repairing IE. If you go to Add/Remove programs, choose IE6, then there is a Repair option (if my memory is correct). Alternatively try uninstalling IE6 and then reinstalling it. Maybe that will fix it. | Rod J (451) | |
