65208 2002-07-25 08:54:00 Guys
Let's see if we can keep things seemly.
How is everyone else? I've been busy trying to rustle up prizes, no news so far but some promising noises.
What's everyone up to? I've just been reviewing DVD players for iMag and some of them play PC Mpeg files, jpgs, and MP3s.
robo.

65210 2002-07-25 09:05:00 I'm amazed at the rapidly lowering cost of DVD players over the last few months.
Purchased one for myself early this year at a cost of $337.50
Already the same machine is available for $253.00
Although I've more than had my money's worth out of it already :-)

65211 2002-07-25 09:11:00 Elwin, yes, I did see some of it. The aftermath only tonight.
Jimbo, my DVD player cost about $700. Some of these do some awesome stuff and the ones around $700 hold five discs or have a VCR in it as well!
Not fair.
Oh, and I am battling with another machine that won't install Windows. Win95 can't see the large disk (was running another version of 95). Win98 won't install because it wants a disk with no OS.
Didn't I have a problem like this last week?

65213 2002-07-25 09:15:00 I seem to recall that you were trying to reinstall 98?

I can't believe this Robo - you must be working waaay too hard. On second thoughts... :p

What's wrong with boting from a floppy, reformatting the hard drive, rebooting, reinstalling 95 or 98? note - you know 95 dont like fat 32 eh? Course ya do...

Give it one.

Create bootup disk
Run fdisk - repartition, create primary disk etc
Restart with bootup disk
format c: /s/u

restart

65215 2002-07-25 09:50:00 Life is good robo,

I'm in the throws of deciding on my IT training for next year and beyond, currently looking at Network Engineering as this is something that interests me. Downloading MP3, listening to Linkin Park on my stereo, having something hot to drink and dipping biscuits in it, ah life is good.

Off to update my web site,

Cheers

65216 2002-07-25 10:01:00 Bruce, I can't understand why people keep responding to that person.
He has had enough warnings and chances to show any sort of sincerity.
If everyone just ignored him he would go away.
I don't for one minute believe he is as ignorant or as young as he makes out and reacting to his posts is exactly what he is trying to achieve.

Agreed . Ignoring is often the best policy, but why should people have to resort to closing their eyes? And even when ignored, idiots can still fill a board up with spam . I trust the matter is now atband end and we can move on .
