| 65072 | 2002-07-25 04:24:00 | Some time ago I set up a shortcut where I open Notepad by pressing Ctrl+Alt+N . Have forgotten how I set this up initially and now want to set up another program. Anybody help? |

Can you do the same to create a quick shutdown, instead of having to click Start, Shutdown and then saying "yes" to Shutdown If so, How? or is there another way to do it. Again if so, How? | 65076 | 2002-07-25 06:58:00 | I don't know one Iris, but I find it really quick tapping the Windows key on my keyboard, then the letter u (or the up arrow if you wish) then enter. With a bit of practice you can do it far quicker than using the mouse. I try and do as much as I can with the keyboard rather than use the mouse. |

| 65079 | 2002-07-25 09:36:00 | This code C:\WINDOWS\RUNDLL.EXE shell32.dll,SHExitWindowsEx 2 can be used to restart the computer in windows 98se. I forget the code for shutdown, but is very similar, the 2 will change to something else. I have a icon that i can click on that will restart for me, I could assign a shortcut key to that. I find that when shitting down the best method is using ALT + F4 untill all the programs are closed and the shutdown dialog box appears, then use enter. |
