| 65023 | 2002-07-25 01:20:00 | I have an XP box connected back to back with a windows 2000 box via 100Mbit lan cards. Despite all fiddling, running test diagnostics etc, copying files to the XP box is fast, copy to the Win2K box is very very slow. I have set up the 2K box for ICS and this has a fixed address 192.168.0.1, the xp box is using dhcp. Ping back and forth using large packets works fine from both ends. Both operating system say the lan connection is fine. Explorer on the XP box via ICS is fine. I have tried disabling netbui on the 2K box also to no avail. Networks are not always fun!! TIA, John |

| 65025 | 2002-07-28 22:00:00 | Ive done that. I have found a workaround which is to install netbeui on XP. TCP/IP for reasons unknown is very slow. Reinstalling IP has made no difference. So I can make it work ok but I dont know what the problem is... |
