2002-07-25 10:24:00 | Hi Bruce and Robo, After my week started with an insult, I must say it had a very nice finish to it. Got a complimentary cordless intelli-mouse from Microsoft for entering an online draw. All smiles now :-):-):-):-):-) Regards, BALDY

2002-07-25 10:33:00 | What am I up to?? Get up at 4:50 am to get into the airport to catch a red-eye flight to Wellington. Wellington still closed they advise....but make it OK eventually. Wellington lounge overcrowded as all yesterdays travellers trying again today...Board a plane for Tauranga, but due to Engineers action charter planes on, and mine seems to have shrunk. It was small! (Jetstream 32) Repeat performance to come home...4 hours in air, 16 hours away from home, knackered. (But Jetstream 32 had grown into a Dash 8) BTW whose was the Learjet at Wellington, PCW?

2002-07-25 14:19:00 | Good to have you back robo. Without your sense of humor pervading this forum, things have got a bit tichy. You watch. I'll prove it. >> Got a complimentary >> cordless intelli-mouse from Microsoft for entering an >> online draw. >> Regards, BALDY Good going Baldy. How did you manage to score that free mouse. I need a new one but I am too poor to buy one, and its beneath me to beg from the other users for an old one they might have lying around. I have no friends that I can bludge one from either. As I am a beneficiary, and the govt supplied my computer, I asked them for one but they said No :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) PS. There was no need for that insult either, was there ? :(

2002-07-25 20:53:00 | Some players play SVCD format, and straight MPEG files off a PC CD, same as JPGs and MP3. Interface for directories is okay in some, limited in others. But either way, very cool. I watched an MPEG movie that was fairly ordinary at half screen size on PC but looked fine on a 29" screen. robo.

Nervous as a chook, swore after the last one I'd never do it agin and I swear again I won't. Oh it's the gold waving in front of me face that forces me through these hoops. | mark c (247) | ||
2002-07-26 08:09:00 | Can't talk about the factory or it will spoil my column. Was way cool though. Heaps of robottie things and little tracks and stuff. robo.
