65691 2002-07-26 09:29:00 Recently when I have been using the forum when spell checking or previewing my posts and reply's, If I click the Go Back/Edit button then when it goes back my whole post has disappeared.

Is this something wrong with the forum or is it something I have stuffed up somehow??

Regards
Sam

65693 2002-07-27 00:28:00 It happens to me also, I'm not exactly sure if it's the forum or the browser but I do know it happens on lots of different types of Forums. The only advice I have for now is to copy your posts before you hit Edit (Once you're in a habit of it, you just forget the problem exists) :) Naraku Kasai (1028)

65696 2002-07-27 05:39:00 I think it is the sub-editor function asking you to try harder next time.

I find that this usually happens if I hit the wrong key in view mode i . e . try to type . Your post is usually still there though, just use the browser back button to get to it .

Sometimes I get odd results doing that, but if I then use the forward button I come back to my original post .

I will admit though that if it is a long post I save a copy using highlight/ctrl-c just in case then I can dump it back if anything goes wrong .

65698 2002-07-27 09:12:00 In other words it's just one of those things.
I'm considering downloading Opera or Mozilla, just to try them out and then picking which one I'll stick with.
I'm sick of IE's stupid faults.
Thanks for confirming what I had thought Billy.

65700 2002-07-28 00:01:00 Ummmm.......

I'm not sure that it is a browser fault Naraku, I just use a browser feature to save the post if it goes wrong. It is a very rare occurrence for me and it is possible that it could happen in any browser.

Cheers
