| 65500 | 2002-07-26 01:47:00 | Anyone with a suitable way of cleaning an OKI4w drum: the cleaning page won't take off some lumps of toner sitting on the drum( which has only done two toner fills since new). | GHJV (1213) | ||
| 65501 | 2002-07-26 02:11:00 | On the printers that dont replace the drum with the toner pack, I could only ever get about 2 toners through before the drum was had it... Going back to the early days of photocopiers, they required this and we used soft paper "cloth" supplied. Beware though, as drums today are quite light sensitive so having it exposed to light while you polish it will likely ruin it. I would be suspicious about "lumps of toner" anyway, they shouldnt stick unless the surface has deteriorated. I have tried polishing Brother and Panasonic drums but they never improved and had to be ditched. |
