65400 2002-07-26 07:12:00 Well, I tried a few more sites, including some of Microsoft's fantastic 'Knowledge Base' but still no luck, so I'll just roll back sometime later tonight. At least I can be satisfied I gave it a go.
By the way, thanks for the compliment Poppa John. I know I'm not exacly the target audience for this place but I've tried to fit in pretty well. Hopefully I'm doing alright so far.

65401 2002-07-26 07:20:00 I would have thought S.A.R.T would be a catchy name - Self Absorbed Rude Teenager. Unless someone already came up with that one.
I just noticed it rhymes with tart too!

65403 2002-07-26 09:47:00 Hi again Naraku. Back to your possessed keyboard problem. When you checked under control panel/keyboard what language was it set to? You may need to click on the propeties button and then search for United States 101 for the layout. Don't choose United States International as it is VERY different to the 101 layout setting. I am presuming XP has the same keyboard properties function as WinME (if not this could be why this advice is not helpful) :-(

PS* I removed KeyMaestro from the startup list (next to clock position) with no problems.

65404 2002-07-26 11:35:00 To Jen C, I fiddled around in CP a bit more and found much better options in a different folder. Although XP doesn't seem to have US 101, it did have 3 different versions that all (according to name) we almost exacly alike. I tried them all, muddling about a bit and I'm pleased to say that I fixed the problem. So thanks for that bit of help :)
I still have to use system restore, and I'm not really sure how much that will change things, since I've never used it before. But even if it changes it back, it's easy to fix now I know how.
But for now, I have to go Format the good ol' Win95 comp.. Oh joy.

65405 2002-07-26 11:37:00 Excuse that typo, it's were, not we. I am not used to using the spell check as of yet. Naraku Kasai (1028)
