What is the traffic going to be like, international, national? How much? Have a look at Orcon (www.orcon.net.nz) or ICONZ (http:) as for Heather's comment. To keep that in consideration. All though some places may still be willing. |

| 66185 | 2002-07-28 08:17:00 | what's your connection to the internet like? I run a server here on my own machine (no i'm not offering) and can have as much here as i like. This has proved most usefull over the time i have had it, space has not been an issue as i have a few spare gig on the HD. Of course it does mean that the best speeds the other end is going to get is limited by my own crawling connection speed. Anyway it can be done, and if there isn't a high hit rate expected, it might be the best option. |

As the space you are looking for is equivalent to 500 "normal" sized web host allowances, I really dont like your chances. Good idea though. Even at chargeable rates, 500 times *anything* per month will be expensive. It would be cheaper I suspect for you to have a full jetstream or cable connection and permanent IP address and host it on your own system? |
