| 66144 | 2002-07-28 02:37:00 | hi guys, i finaly decided to reinstall easy cd creator 4 that came with my cd writer drive, i used to have win me, win me worked fine with easy cd creator 4, but since i reformatted and reinstalled win xp pro easy cd creator doesn't work properly and can't detect the cd drives including cd rom + cd writer and direct Cd gets stoped from loading cos it's drives r not in tune to win xp. iwent to roxio's website but all the help they could offer was " buy Roxio Easy Cd Creator 5 for $200, and the windows xp compatibility problem will go away" and the patches section only has stuff to do with the oldest version of easy cd creator, why is this happening, i will search google, but i'd like to know why this happens. r there patches for this problem? ?:| cheers, v.K------------ X-( (Not very happy) |

| 66146 | 2002-07-28 02:59:00 | VK, I use Roxio Easy CDCreator 4.x on WinXP works VERY well. You can install v4.x but to make it run correctly under WinXP it must be at least v4.03 preferably v4.05. Now there used to be all the patches available under the Roxio site for v4. If they have gone from there you may have to search for an old mirror site with the patches or if you can find them I have ALL the v4 patchs here somewhere (on cdrom) and can cut a copy for you. You can decide how you want me to send them to you, mail whatever. Cheers, Babe. |
