| 66528 | 2002-07-29 11:11:00 | can anyone help me with a problem i am having since installing xp. i am unable to go into chat rooms as i did with M.E i know i need java virtual machine but am not that familiar with the workings of the computer so is there anyone out there who can point me in the right direction. |

Maybe you do need JVM...try installing it fromhere (java.sun.com) But first try disabling your firewall protection to see if that is causing the problem. And if nothing works then try pinchin yourself...maybe you are just dreaming... ;) :) |

| 66530 | 2002-07-29 11:38:00 | Please explain your problem.. Is it because its not powered up??? Being fascetious I know, but your description is a bit light... However if you can dial up OK then go to control panel, network, show network connections, right click on your dial-up (or whatever you are using, such as ADSL or Cable or broadband.....) Select properties, advanced, remove the tick from firewall. Now exit out, applying or accepting changes and reboot. Or, if thats not it, tell us more. |
