2002-07-29 08:33:00 | When I start my up DeskJet 400 it goes thru it's intitial thumping/banging/whirring start up process but then turns itself off before completing the process. Cables seem OK and I've connected it to a different power point with no difference. I've just moved it from Otago to Canterbury. Perhaps it's homesick?

Its usually OK to manually slide the cartridge assemble when the power is off. On the other hand, it may not be used to being in the superior environment and is denying its own existence..... |

2002-07-29 21:41:00 | Well if it wants to go there, it's going by itself! (Although if it behaves I might take it along when Otago comes to town in October)

2002-07-30 08:17:00 | Hey! It's a 'Southern Man' printer...it'll have a mince pie and a Speights. (Gotta be cheaper than it's usual consumables). | oggy (1250) | |
2002-07-30 08:40:00 | I thought Speights was inkjet consumables.... | godfather (25) | |
2002-07-30 08:53:00 | Many years ago when I was working on the Wanganella moored in Deep Cove Speights was all there was, It was definitely "Consumable". It was the "Original" Southern Speights, thick & chewy, not like todays maidens water!!!! Once a boozer Poppa John :D :D :D hic | Poppa John (284) | |
2002-07-30 10:42:00 | Now there's a thought. Speights flavoured printer ink! Or would ink coloured Speights be more marketable? Refill your printer cartridge then refill yourself. Or you could go the other way and have a printer cartridge that looks like a can of Speights. Just the thing for computer geek scarfies. Doesn't matter to me. I can't stand the stuff! Have we gotten off the subject here?
