66352 2002-07-29 02:39:00 A CD drive *should* read a CDR, are you sure that the CDR is readable however, it could be dud?

Is it truly a CDR or is it a CDRW? Some CD drives have difficulty with CDRW reading.

What sort of file is on it, how are you trying to read it?

66353 2002-07-29 02:42:00 Could be lots of things ... session not closed properly, impatible format for your CDROM etc etc. You need to look at the CDR in a CRW to see this sort of info. Also depends whats on it - audio or data or both. Audio needs to be in the first session to be compatible with most CDROM's. parry (27)
66354 2002-07-29 02:58:00 If you are trying to get it to read on a Win95 or Win98FE machine you will need to install a UDF reader. This may solve your problem, however you will need to provide more details if you want more info. Elwin Way (229)
66355 2002-07-29 03:03:00 Agreed with Parry... if you aren't using a CD-R/RW drive to read this disc, and if it is "unfinalised" then you won't be able to read it.

$50 says this is your prob.
