| 66241 | 2002-07-28 12:05:00 | The easiest thing to do is uninstall your official Kazaa software and replace it with Kazaa-Lite (stripped of all spywear) http://www . kazaalite . tk/ OR Do this: 1 . download and run ad-aware from LavaSoft http://www . lavasoftusa . com/ Read about this program at cnet . com: keyword "ad-aware" 2 . tell ad-aware to remove all found items, including cydoor (kazaa requires cydoor to function but we'll take care of that later 3 . at this point, if you try to run kazaa, it won't open but don't worry . 4 . now download the cydoor dummy dll file . . cexx . org/dummies . htm" target="_blank">www . cexx . org 5 . unzip it and copy/paste the cd_clint . dll to your c:\windows\system where the original dll file was located . 6 . RUN KAZAA! 7 . you should be ad-free and spyware-free . check the bottom left pannel of the kazaa screen were ads normally run . It should be blank . 8 . If you run Ad-ware again, it should find ONLY the cd_clint . dll but it is a dummy file and isn't doing anything |
