| 66527 | 2002-07-29 11:00:00 | Greetings Networking Gurus, I have a Red Hat 7.1 Linux box and a Win XP Pro box. I use Samba to connect the Linux box to the Winxp box so I can copy files. It seemed quite stable until recently. The connection often is "reset" by some mechanism (what I don't know). I have added a Slackware 8.0 box and the odd windows 95/98 box; other than that I can't think of anything I have done which could have caused the instability (Win XP ;0). I use a 10MBit hub, but that shouldn't cause a problem like that should it? Comments, questions, slagging off's Cheers Dolby AC3 |
