| 66631 | 2002-07-30 01:06:00 | I'm Having problems deleting a large Avi movie file which was installed I cannot delete it at all, the error message says this "application is being used by another program or person" even though it is not being used by a player I have win xp and other files ect will delete ok. would appreciate any thoughts on this thank you |

| 66632 | 2002-07-30 01:24:00 | Restart it in safe mode, or even in DOS mode, find the file and then delete it, It's in use by another app, so it won't let you delete it, rename it, or generally modify it. Hope that works Jo |

| 66634 | 2002-07-30 04:59:00 | If it will still not delete even after a restart, then go start, programs,accessories, and open command prompt. It will probably open in the MY Documents folder so to navigate your hard drive do this. Type cd then the directory path. eg. cd c:\my documents\movies then type del thefileIcantdelete.avi Making sure you replace 'thefileIcantdelete.avi ' with what the file is actually called. |
