| 66854 | 2002-07-30 21:32:00 | Hi everyone, I hope you can help. Yesterday I bought a Gforce 4 MX. After some difficulties with getting it to work I finally have. I was having some other problems so in an attempt to see if I could fix them I updated the drivers from the Nivida Site. So now I have the latest drivers and most of the problems have been fixed. However, A game came with the card, Aukonok or something like that. I installed, but when I try to run it I get the "This Program has preformed an illegal operation and will be shutdown" When I clicked on "Details" It said something like (I'm not at home so I can't get it perfect) "This program has caused an invalid page fault at register ddraw.dll" It then has all of the Hex addresses. The program then closes. I haven't tried any other games yet. But I went into DxDiag, and as soon as the program opens it says there was a problem with Direct Draw do you not want to use it, or something like that, If I click No the illegal Operation box will come up with the same problem as explained above. If I click Yes that program works fine. When I go to the page with all the dll files etc It states that there are no problems, When I go to the page And I click Direct Draw button, It works fine. PLEASE!!! Does anyone know of how to fix the ddraw.dll problem I am having. Thanks All :) |
