| 66708 | 2002-07-30 06:18:00 | i have tried heaps of software - winmx, kazaa, edonkey - the lot. on none of these have i ever sucessfully downloaded anything - except for file placeholders. i have disabled the firewall and ne other software that may interrupt/barricade any socket connection, but yet i still cant get any files downloaded - WHY?!?! | jay_db (1157) | ||
| 66709 | 2002-07-30 06:24:00 | What do you mean by "none of these have i ever successfully downloaded anything" what happens? will they not download at all, or are they corrupted once the download is complete? | Sam H (525) | ||

Sam H What do you mean by "none of these have i ever successfully downloaded anything" what happens? will they not download at all, or are they corrupted once the download is complete? As Sam said could you give a little more imfo on what is actually happening? Obviously they are installing o.k or you won't be at the download stage - I use winmx on XP not a prob and so does a friend too, i can't comment on kazaa or edonkey as i haven't used them, but as i said winmx is definately not incompatible with XP, so if your probs are with 3 p2p programs it would in theory be the configuration i would say, and you have looked at the firewall too?! My aunt recently had a prob with winmx and corrupt file so i got her to uninstall it and download it again and it was sweet, she was using ME though! The fact that it is happening with 3 programs as i said says something i think. |
