| 67208 | 2002-08-01 00:50:00 | I still have not been able to cure my problem as stated yesterday. Thanks to those who replied & I have done what was suggested except reload the program. Problem is I don't now have the disc? I run Win98se with Norton System Works 2001. I had some digital camera photo's down loaded onto my pc. I then downloaded the Sony video/camera formats etc for showing the pictures from the cd. Once finished, I deleted the program from my pc & now Norton Win Doctor comes up with "Missing program files" ie : C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\SONYSYS.SYS. Cannot access a necessary file. "hal.dll". How do I cure my computer from this error message. |

| 67209 | 2002-08-01 01:04:00 | Not a "nice" solution, but you could download hal.dll and install it (probably in c\windows\system ? but you may get other errors then that follow. You can get it from here: www.dll-files.com Or, if you are expert at editing the registry and system files it may be possible to achieve it that way, but you must know what you are doing there. Or get the CD back? |
