2002-07-31 23:32:00 | My anti scanner says I have XML somewhere in my directories. Have I been hacked? Is it as bad as Java? I remember PC World saying XML would never happen, but it has here. How do I remove it? D-D

2002-08-01 00:01:00 | StarOffice 6.0 uses an XML-based file format as its default. Many, many industries are now using XML as a standard form of B2B communications. Not sure what you are suggesting??

2002-08-01 00:05:00 | I already have Morphins for my B2B communications. Is XML spyware? Hope I won't have to reformat again. | DeeDee (1290) | |
2002-08-01 00:13:00 | B2B=Business to Business, not to be confused with P2P=Peer to Peer. B2B is where large companies exchange data in a self describing format. I hardly think huge corporations would spend $10,000,000 (yes, $10 million) on these platforms just to allow spyware to roam.... It has also migrated to inter-office and small office/home use (as mentioned with the Star Office suite). XML is a format, an advance on HTML I guess, but if you are worried then you wont read this forum, like the rest of the web its HTML....

2002-08-01 00:17:00 | So you must use XML programme to be in PressF1? Or is it the Star Office for business to business instead? I do not know HTML.

2002-08-01 02:21:00 | OK, it has been worked out. No need to reformat, just delete Press F1 XML cookies. | DeeDee (1290) | |
2002-08-01 02:54:00 | XML stands for eXtensible Markup Language. It is a way of describing data by placing tags in a document/file. e.g. <name>DeeDee</name> To understand XML data, a DTD (Document Type Definition) is required. All these done at the backend -- as a user you don't need to worry what's going on behind the scenes. If you like to read the technical definition you can visit this link : www.w3c.org To use pressf1, all you need is a browser.
