67105 2002-07-31 22:22:00 Having had some excellent advice from Press F One I would now like to delete the messages.
I have looked through the help instructions but there is nothing on deleting messages. There was a window that said delete but nothing happened when i clicked the button.
There was an item about messages being deleted after 30 days - is that it?
kind regards to all

67106 2002-07-31 22:46:00 Why would you want to delete the messages? Not a good idea because they may well be part of a useful thread to others. Also, deleting selected messages would make a mess becoz replies to them would be 'orphaned'. Don't really think it's an option but wait and see what one of the moderators says. :) 2 u. mark c (247)
67107 2002-07-31 22:46:00 Delete what messages?? The ones on this forum?? You cannot delete these as you do not have write access to them, only the Moderators do.

They will gradually move down the forum if no more comments are posted but while doing so remain for the edification of others who may solve their similar problems instantly. Once posted they are technically the property of IDG I would imagine.

You can choose to not be notified of any new postings under "watches"

67108 2002-07-31 22:46:00 are you talking about your postings on here? in that case, you probably can't. someone else will no doubt come along with the same issue or problem that you had, and isn't it easier to point them to an old topic or get them to search for the answer, than repeat yourself? honeylaser (814)
67109 2002-07-31 22:47:00 whoa, triple mind meld in the same minute. spooky ;) honeylaser (814)
