| 67076 | 2002-07-31 21:39:00 | I received a Word document with Helvetica set as a Font. I use Office 97 and there is no listing of a Helvetica font in the tool bar display and it is only when I click on text in the letter that the display shows the Helvetica font. I look in Settings | Control Panel | Fonts and it is not there. So How does the font get registered in Word and how to I get it to display so as I can create a new document using that font? |

If the page creator has a particular font on their machine and the viewer doesn't have it on their machine - the page will be viewed with the default browser font. Word on the other hand embeds the font. The font information is embedded in the header of the document. This means you can view it but can't reuse the contents elsewhere. |
