| 67006 | 2002-07-31 07:15:00 | Is it really true that a CD Writer Laser only burns so many CD's and then runs out? I've burnt hundreds of CD's over about 2 years now and my Writer is still going... Fact or Myth? |

As an indication, a really expensive CD player (component audio type) would run for 2 years 24/7 with music on hold before it would die. A cheaper one about 18 months. The output from a burner is high, and I would expect it to last a much shorter time in hours, but then its not on 24/7. By the time its nbg, technology has marched on anyway. |
