67136 2002-08-01 00:35:00 It sounds like bruces friend alright........the typography might be different but the person knows all about some of the more advandces stuff but pretends ignorance on some of the basics. Check out the profile but be careful about clicking on the web page link, If it is our friend then the site will be nasty. dipstick01 (445)
67137 2002-08-01 00:35:00 I don't understand this. DeeDee (1290)
67138 2002-08-01 01:02:00 It's alright, you don't have to. :D Elwin Way (229)
67139 2002-08-01 01:09:00 The HP is a fake address ... not malicious, it just doesn't exsist.

Let's just ignore our little problem and see if it goes away by itself maybe?

:D

67140 2002-08-01 02:18:00 What is HP and fake address?

It is very hard to ignore the problem and it isn't so little. I cannot play any of Applets and so it will not go away. Some one else say it's security problem, but I cannot repeat that.

Everything is crashing. Maybe this is hell?

The Kachingo site has a similar problem and when asked about it gave a long list from their system administrator basically instructing how to lower secuity settings .

Another much more reputable site has also made the same recommendation

Neither are products I now use as a result of such lunacy

To Web Designers - We NEED greater security NOT less !!!!!!

Found the same problem at Kachingo. Their help desk suggested lots of things that didnt work. Turned off Zone Alarm and it worked.

Suggested to them that they add this little abnomally to the faq's

Cheers. :)

67144 2002-08-01 20:50:00 The java applet problems DeeDee is having will be because of the current HP Invent banner ads that are running. They are coded in Java.
It's not something you have to have installed, and if you don't wish to have it installed/activated you won't see Java applets - it's simple as that.
