66999 2002-07-31 06:32:00 Hi Folks,
I have had this file sitting in a download directory for some time. Can anyone enlighten me as to what programme it is linked to and how critical it is to remain in that folder. I have searched my system as I thought it may be a duplicate of a file associated with a programme on my computer but I can only locate it in C:Windows\Desktop\Downloads
Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

67000 2002-07-31 06:50:00 Sorry Smurf I have never heard of this file before, are you sure that is the way it is spelt?

If it is then one way to find out if it is necessary would be to make a copy on a floppy then delete the file. If something stops working because it cannot detect the file then you should transfer it from the floppy back to the folder it was before.

I am certainly no expert but a search on the net brings up references for mgnsrv.dll under "Number of request for items accessed on this server" webpages. There are also references to flash from Microsoft Office Design gallery Live.

A very similar named program msgsrv32.exe can be found on PC's. There is an explanation for this program at microsoft support (support.microsoft.com). I don't know if any of this is of help to you.

Cheers
Jen :)

I will follow your suggestions through by refering to the web pages mentioned and finally by copying the file to disk and deleting it from the computer.
