67347 2002-08-01 09:12:00 Hi I have a problem with my Pine group PT 2635 4 channel soundcard. I got in
a system and thought I would try it instead of my onboard sound that I have
on my Soltek. The card has the ESS 1989s chip and at best I can only get the
rear speakers to go. The computer is running win 2000 pro with a soltek m/b
with a AMD 1333 and 512 of ddr ram with the on board sound disabled. I have
try pine group drivers and ess drivers but all I get is the rear speakers.
On the Pine web site they say that when the drivers are installed, in the
volume controls under advanced settings there is an enable 4 speaker check
which I haven't got. Also I have enable quadraphonic in speaker types. I
have tried all this under XP pro but to no avail. Writing to the support
techs of Pine Group haven't helped as they haven't replied. I no this is
only a cheapo card but it has become a mission to try and get it running
now. Thanks Paul

67348 2002-08-01 10:02:00 Not a cabling problem?
Are you SURE it's not a cabling problem?
Tried the latest drivers?
Restarted your machine?
That's where I would start.
