| 67315 | 2002-08-01 05:13:00 | OK .. I am an Xtra customer .. I have 2 email addys .. going to the one address .. when I open a New Message .. in the *from* panel, I can click the drop down menu and select which name I wish the message to go from. Recently I added another alias .. but I could not get it to appear in the drop down panel .. I rang Xtra .. to be informed that * Xtra no longer offer support for OE* .. and the lovelee guy there could not tell me how they advised me to do it the last time. I have been through the wizard .. and done all that is required there .. I have ended up having to switch identities when I wish to use this new alias .. Can anyone tell me how to get the new alias into the New Message, drop down menu in the from panel .. PLEASE .. !!!!! |

Now just follow the rest of the instructions, entering the new information as you go. It is helpful to check the properties of your existing email account to see what details to put in the POP3 and SMTP fields. (Go to Tools>Accounts>Mail, click on your email address then Properties>Server). If you've followed these instructions I can't see why it didn't work. If the new alias address appears in Tools>Accounts>Mail then it should appear in the New Message drop-down From menu. |
