| 67992 | 2002-08-04 05:20:00 | I've just completed a clean re-install of win98 second edition, but now when ever I start up, the standard "enter windows password" dialogue box comes up. Personally I don't want to have a password so I naturally click cancel, assuming that will be the end of that. But whenever I restart, the password box still comes up despite "if you don't want a password, do not enter one and this box will not appear again". The box also appears occasionally when my dial-up completes the "logging onto network" stage. |

| 67993 | 2002-08-04 05:56:00 | Start Settings Control Panel Network Change from Windows Network Login to Windows Login On next restart you will be prompted for a password - hit cancel. It's should be gone. If it still comes up you will have passwords there - .pwl files in the (I think) Windows folder. Delete them. |

| 67994 | 2002-08-04 05:56:00 | If you leave the password box empty and click OK, then re-confirm the blank password with another OK, hopefully next time you start the logon box wont appear. This often causes problems. |
