2002-08-03 10:59:00 | I have just installed kazaa lite from the imag disc, and am downloading 4 pieces of music. However the download speeds are very slow, average about 0.20Kb/s. Is this normal for kazaa? or am I doing something wrong? Thank you - Stephen | stpnc (1142) | |

Try this, right click a download and select find more sources to download from. And if you have people uploading from you then it might pay to get rid of them. If all else fails then try another time of day. |

2002-08-03 11:07:00 | If you have a 56k modem, d/l 4 songs at once can go rather slowly (especially if people are uploading from you at the same time) As an alternative - I've been using WinMX and have found it a great utility for finding MP3 files - relatively quick too. Cheers Lynne

2002-08-03 11:07:00 | hi Sam, I have a 56k modem, no firewall, windows ME, no uploads. I will try right clicking and trying for more sources. Stephen | stpnc (1142) | |
2002-08-03 11:09:00 | Hi stpnc, It varies all the time. This morning i found it very good and got about 10 MP3's in 90mins. It is set for 5d/l's but invarably get 6or7 at a time. Doesn't seem to be a "better time of day" except that the more users, the better the choice! Cheers,Kiwitas,;-)
