| 67957 | 2002-08-04 00:04:00 | The HP recovery cd's are locked to the bios of the motherboard so if you change your board it HAS to be a motherboard supplied by HP and within the 44xx series, if you had only replaced the hard disks etc you would only have been asked to put in the serial number of the system. Best bet is to "borrow" a windows 98 se disk and install from scratch using your oem serial number therefore you are not pirating the OS Regards Brent |
