| 67861 | 2002-08-03 11:13:00 | I work with a local volunteer radio station, and we use a computer to play music when there is no presenter running the show, and to schedule switching to and from satellite program feeds. The computer runs Windows 2000. Currently we use Media Jukebox 8, with it's built-in task scheduler to control the program to start and stop at scheduled times. This worked OK for about 2 months or so, and then things started going wrong. The program refused to close or stop playing at the specified time, and would keep playing music, over the top of news feeds, etc. This was disastrous, so the HDD was formatted, and we started again. Now, about two months after the reinstall, the SAME problem is happening again. First it does it every now and then, like two or three nights a week, and now, after about 2 weeks, we cannot even use the scheduler to stop the app, it has to be done manually!! The computer is isolated from the internet, and no other programs have been installed or removed since the re-format, so there should be no conflicts with other apps. Can anyone shed some light on this very annoying problem, as the sooner we can get the station back to automated control, the better... Cheers, Craig. PS: Please don't suggest alternative programs for us to use as Media Jukebox has all the other features needed for the station, and was selected as the best app after nearly three months of testing various apps. |

| 67862 | 2002-08-03 12:47:00 | i'm not familar with that program but i would be inclined to check the pc's time/date make sure its not to far out. i hope the OS is on its own partition. then make a restore disk for it. simple fix for when it plays up. |
