| 68006 | 2002-08-04 07:39:00 | I have got 2 emails one yesterday and one today 3.8.02 from . jenny titcombe .. --language attachment,s attooo14.txt(143 bytes) info.bom.backup-ibak.3.47 bytes attooo17.(342 bytes) 2 paul w ... v.90 modem attoooo6.txt(144.bytes) partnum_txt.(1014 bytes) atooog,txt.(344 bytes) i GET A MESSAGE FROM XTRA SAYING THEY CONTAIN A VIRUS BUT WHEN I SAVE THEM TO A FLOPPY AND RUN penicillin over them it say,s they contain no virus .. any idea,s please |

| 68007 | 2002-08-04 07:55:00 | Of course they may not contain a virus - now. Xtra have installed virus scanning of all emails. You will be aware of this, they contacted all their customers. To quote from the Xtra web site: If a virus is detected, the virus is destroyed and the cleaned email (without the virus infected attachment) is sent to the intended recipient with a message advising that a virus has been found and deleted. In certain instances, where Xtra is unable to isolate and remove the virus, the attached file or the email itself will be deleted along with the virus. BELIEVE IT when they say it HAD a virus.....and take care as they may not be able to spot them all, you need to update your anti-virus regularly, I recommend weekly. |
