| 68002 | 2002-08-04 06:50:00 | I can't run or save any of the demos from the July CD. My computer locks up and crashes. The OS is Win. ME, P4 1500, 512 Ram. What am I doing wrong? Thanks, Nat.Rev |

| 68003 | 2002-08-04 07:56:00 | Nothing. The CD is cooked. Ask for another one. See: pressf1.co.nz |

| 68004 | 2002-08-04 21:53:00 | Try this - insert CD, then hold down shift till the CD drive stops spinning. This will stop the CD autoloading. Then use My Computer/Windows Explorer to browse the CD to find the demos you want. | codegirl (1038) | ||
| 68005 | 2002-08-04 22:50:00 | Just because the PC falls over at the autorun stage doesn't neccessarily mean the CD is cooked. Occaisonally the little exe launcher (a Flash projector) will disagree with certain user setups but the CD itself is fine. As Codegirl says...try disabling autorun and run the file called "index.htm" from the root of the disc. If you still have no luck I'll send you a new one...drop me a line with your postal address, month of issue and magazine title. scott@idg.co.nz |
