| 1308174 | 2012-10-22 18:45:00 | Mike Do you just want to store waypoints or view maps offline with the ability to upload/mark/view/goto etc. waypoints? Just waypoints - I could name 20. Offline maps with waypoint functions - There are many. My favourite freeware apps - Oruxmaps and Androzic. Plenty of help and free LINZ Topo50 entire country mapset data over at: gwprojects.org Sample screenshots: Vector - OruxMaps (gwprojects.org) - free. Raster - Androzic (gwprojects.org) - free. |

One feature i did like over this (a friend had it) over any app I could find for the iphone was it was designed for cars, and included data in each waypoint with the current speed. | psycik (12851) | ||

Thanks for that. I basically wanted one that would perform in a similar way to a hand held Garmin. I downloaded a few last night but none quite worked the way I wanted. Didn't come across those two so shall give them a try. |
