1285690 2012-07-03 19:50:00 Lol... missed it

In bed asleep :)
... highly unusual, usually I am awake at that hour. The gas heater ran out of gas just before 10; so rather than freeze, I went to bed early.

1285693 2012-07-04 20:53:00 Central north island we felt the neighbours on the other side of the railway track never noticed! Then gain there houses are on solid ground unlike the swamp that our house was built on. Trains go by felt very much like the effect of this quake only this was the heaviest freight train since we lived here. Ironically the last big quake in the same location (march 2005) we were living in Wanganui and I was up a ladder on that occassion. Wife was videoing our young daughter climbing down some steps cut in the garden at the time! This time I just fell off the sofa....lol.

The quake rumbled for roughly two minutes here, thats how spongy our ground is.
