| 1285151 | 2012-07-11 09:09:00 | Ohh, so you think interleaving is the anwser? Interleaving isn't the answer to anything except a bad line, where it may make your connection more stable. Having said that, if you have a bad line, you should get it repaired. I merely stated that if interleaving gets turned OFF on a good line, you should see a small speed increase and a lower latency without anything else being affected. Of course, if your line has issues, then turning interleaving OFF may actually make things worse. Interleaving and Port Forwarding are completely different things, thus Port Forwarding cannot be "more reliable" than interleaving. That makes about as much sense as saying that wearing socks is more reliable than brushing your hair. |

I can't remember exactly, it wasn't insignificant, but I think less than 1Mbit increase on downstream rate. I would advise you call again (and hopefully get someone who knows what they're doing) and get it turned off and just see what happens. In any case, if you get problems with it off they can always turn it back on again. |
