1285133 2012-07-10 22:32:00 Got a bit of a speed boost and lower ping after I asked them to turn interleaving off too. Agent_24 (57)

What's interleaving?

1285135 2012-07-11 01:13:00 doesn't interleaving increase speed, not reduce it? Nick G (16709)

No.

Interleaving increases reliability at the cost of a small speed decrease and latency increase. The greater the interleaving depth, the slower the speed and higher the latency.

Thus, with interleaving completely turned off, you get maximum speed and lowest latency\ping time.

However, if you have a 'bad' line and you turn interleaving off, you may end up with (more) disconnections and timeouts etc than with it on.
