1285679 2012-07-05 03:35:00 I don't think I would notice an earthquake in Invercargill unless it was REALLY big - I live beside the railway tracks & some nights, the train causes so much vibration that it feels like an earthquake. Greven (91)

Funny that, when you live next to a railway track it is only visitors who notice the trains go by at night.

I live beside a railway track, still noticed this quake only because there was no train going by and it was more shakey than the largest train. Then again we notice the trucks go by! Earthquakes often get missed....lol

Usually I don't notice the trains, but some nights they make a lot more noise & shake the house a lot more than normal.
