| 1284384 | 2012-06-29 10:54:00 | that maybe the case here, but not so much if a phone is locked to a carrier in the states. Disabling maybe, but not removing them, so if a phone as a small interl memory it doesn't leave much room for your own apps. But my point is pretty well much moot since we don't live in the states. Well you're kinda right, but all phones these days ship with 8GB+, so a couple of hundred MB here and there isn't the end of the world. It's not ideal, granted, but it's a solution to the issue :) Long-gone are the days of 512MB of internal memory! :D Yeah, Android has App scaling on tabs - but then sometimes it will go all blurry There are two different scaling modes. There's a button that appears the first time you use an app on a tablet that tells you the difference between them. Try the other. |

But I'm taking about tablet apps in general - apps designed for tablets. |

| 1284387 | 2012-06-29 21:46:00 | I love my S2 but it's on a custom ROM, saw an S3... and by god the TouchWiz UI is hideous. I had forgotten how poor it is. Motst ugly thing ever, Samsung, great phone, poor support and bad UI Custom ROM's make android phones amazing but having to wait a few months for devs to make nice stable ROM's (if you are an early adopter to a phone) can be annoying. I'll try a nexus next to get a lovely vanilla experience The tablet looks amazing and $200 is a good price point, also like the look of their Q player. I really think google is on to something amazing |

| 1284389 | 2012-06-29 22:26:00 | Jesus what a pathetic load of rubbish. The articale contradicts itself! It says a 7' screen is too small but goes on to say apple is releasing the iPad mini... with the same screen size which will compete A load of old bollocks! |

And a quad core device with 1gb ram is underpowered? Give me a break :D |

| 1284391 | 2012-06-29 22:54:00 | while the tablet yes, but seriously the Q player? What exactly about the Q player is google on to something? I dunno, Apple seem to have their Apple TV / Airport, and they do quite well off it. The Nexus Q is terribly priced if you ask me, it's damn expensive, for what I see as the 'minor' benefit vs getting an Airport Express of being able to collaborate and organise music at the same time. Traditionally it's a "one app / device / person has control" whereas this seems to focus more around the idea of being able to play music at a party and let more than one person have control by all guests being able to adjust the playlist etc. The articale contradicts itself! It says a 7' screen is too small but goes on to say apple is releasing the iPad mini... with the same screen size which will compete A load of old bollocks! My thoughts exactly. I tweeted the author asking for his thoughts, no reply. |

| 1284392 | 2012-06-29 23:56:00 | The ease of simple sharing, any device can add media to the play queue, edit it and move it around. Unlike the apple speakers, not sure what they are called, which are not portable the Q could be taken places (or so it seems) Just looking at it more, the fact it's online streaming only is a BIG hinderance. Limits the market to US. One thing I DO hate about google (and a lot of DRM stuff) is the region restrictions. That should have died out with DVD's. I just want to listen to my music!! So I guess it's not quite on to something. |
