2012-06-29 07:48:00 | except in the US where the S3 is the dual core version only. That isn't the tegrea3 version though, if I recall correctly the USA version is the dual-core compromise (although it's still bloody quick). | Erayd (23) | |

It may well be quick, but the US carriers have a habit of putting a lot of bloatware on their phones, and applications that can't be deleted. | plod (107) | ||

2012-06-29 09:53:00 | the US carriers have a habit of putting a lot of bloatware on their phones, and applications that can't be deleted. Thankfully it's dead easy ever since ICS to disable bundled apps that you don't want, effectively removing them. What happened to apps scaling from the phone to the tablet, didn't think android needed tablet specific apps according to some on here They actually scale in a much better way than iOS apps do, but when you have additional screen real estate, why not do something like the "fragments" layout in Gmail for example?

2012-06-29 10:03:00 | Thankfully it's dead easy ever since ICS to disable bundled apps that you don't want, effectively that maybe the case here, but not so much if a phone is locked to a carrier in the states. Disabling maybe, but not removing them, so if a phone as a small interl memory it doesn't leave much room for your own apps. But my point is pretty well much moot since we don't live in the states. | plod (107) | |
2012-06-29 10:22:00 | Yeah, Android has App scaling on tabs - but then sometimes it will go all blurry. So you kind of need tablet specific apps (eg Pulse) or the experience is kinda junk. That's my only issue with android tablets. | sahilcc7 (15483) | |
