2012-06-28 23:49:00 | I wonder if Facebook is how I got that Lagos and Canadian spam? I only opened an account for a contest - it's all closed now - but I wonder if somehow the access to my real email address was sold to those other guys? {expletive deleted} whatever that means!

2012-06-28 23:51:00 | I deleted my account almost a year ago. Couldn't have been happier. No more stupid crap like that. No more relatives posting something but it not being shown because Facebook didn't deem it "important" enough to show me. No more fake two-way relationships. No more censoring whatever just so I don't offend somebody that I met once or twice a few years back. Life is better in every way without it now :D Yeah -I like to insult with impunity and to whom and when I want! Poison pen writers - UNITE! Why were you seeking relationships on Facebook?

2012-06-29 00:12:00 | Facebook is dead, only thing it's used for is a conveniant chat feature because otehr convinient web based chat for the uninformed masses is lacking. that and hustle live. | The Error Guy (14052) | |
2012-06-29 00:14:00 | Wrong! I see many young back packers (sophisticated and from Europe and Asia) checking their Facebook everyday. But of course they are using it mainly to post photos and see what their friends are up to etc. (But that is what it was designed for!)

2012-06-29 11:17:00 | Facebook is referenced a lot lately in SEM/SEO circles for new and small (www.toprankblog.com) start up businesses, as a way of customer engagement, reputation management, influencer-authority, branding, referrals, social channeling, etc, though mainly in the US. Dozens of social media conferences, webinars, summit meetings, etc for social branding. It's now seen as a relevancy signal by major search engines (e.g. businesses needs social mentions other than standard SEO, digital media, etc) to rank up in search results. More businesses are making social connections in conjunction with content promotion. | kahawai chaser (3545) | |
2012-06-29 20:53:00 | What I dislike is many sites will only pass out discounts if you LIKE them on FB . For those of us who won't use FB, that's not fair . I fail to see how having a FB account and liking someone there is of any real value to me . I do not chose to buy from someplace if they also have FB account as a preferred customer status-stipulation . . Just like Google demanding that for intelligent reason I allow them to have my cellphone number in case I get my scree n name hacked or lose my password . Since I don't have and don't want a cellphone, how am I being served well? Not .

Since I don't have and don't want a cellphone, how am I being served well? Not.You don't need a cellphone number to use that service - you can give them a landline, and their system will call you and read the code rather than sending an SMS. You also don't have to give them any number at all if you don't want to, it's entirely optional. |
