68880 2002-08-06 23:40:00 How do I correct resource setting with a conflicting device list message showing on NVIDIA GeForce2 Module
stating "Memory Range D7000000 - D7FFFFFF used by PCI standard PCI-to-PCI bridge."; and Memory Range
E0000000 - E7FFFFFF used by PCI standard PCI-to-PCI bridge".
and,
PCI standard OCI-to-PCI bridge Properties shows same conflict used by NVIDIA GeForce2MX/MX 400. I'm afraid it has me whacked, any help would be appreciated.

68881 2002-08-07 00:22:00 Usually means your motherboard drivers aren't installed. Make sure you have your video card drivers too or else you'll be stuck in 16 colours forever!!! <maniacal laugh>
If you've got both installed already, try deleting the device from Device Manager and let windows redetect it on the next restart.

What operating system?

Not sure about XP, this is Godfather's area,

but in Win98 / 95 / ME

right click My computer and click Properties. Click on the device manager tab.

You should see your video card with a mark next to it.

Double click on your video card.

Click on the Resources tab

Take the tick out of Use automatic settings.

Click on the memory range thats causing conflicts and click Change

From the window that pops up, scroll through the list until you fint a range that is not conflicting. Do the same with anything else that is causing conflicts.

Close everything and then restart.

*If, when you press the Change button, a box pops up and say "You cannot change this setting" then try changing the PCI Bridge range instead.

*You should probably do this in Safe Mode.

*You should read the last 3 paragraphs of this post before attempting the instructions :D
